How is Shakeology different from a protein shake?

I get this question ALL the time.  “I’m drinking a protein shake.  Can I just keep drinking that?  Is Shakeology THAT different?”

The answer is YES.  Leaps and bounds different.

But let me start and tell you that I was super skeptical about Shakeology because I was not a shake drinker at all.  I thought it was just like other shakes that claim to do certain things and not deliver. But then I tried it, and WOW, is it good!  It’s like drinking a sinful milkshake.  Every. Single. Day.  Honestly, the taste is what got me hooked at first.  But then I realized how it made me feel.  Shakeology absolutely delivers on its promises!

It is not just another meal replacement shake or protein shake, but it is a nutrient dense superfood shake that helps in so many ways. It has all of the protein, carbs, and healthy fats you need, plus 70 super foods including:

That’s what Shakeology does have…so what doesn’t it have?  Here’s what I know about Shakeology vs many protein shakes. Shakeology is 100% natural, with no artificial flavors, no artificial sweeteners, and no soy or soy lecithin. Soy is cheap to manufacture so the companies get a bigger profit margin, but it’s not good for your health, especially your thyroid. Artificial flavors wreak havoc on your metabolism and on your digestion and prevent you from losing weight. And artificial sweeteners, well, there have been 100s of studies that show artificial sweeteners make you gain weight – they increase insulin, increase carb cravings, and inhibit fat loss.

So Shakeology is so much more than a protein shake or even just a weight loss shake. It’s a health shake.  It’s pretty amazing, and I wouldn’t ask for anyone to try it if I didn’t truly believe in it. For me, I found that when I started drinking Shakeology, my energy skyrocketed, I lost weight much quicker, my cravings for chocolate were greatly reduced (even though I can drink chocolate Shakeology every day), and I started craving healthy food. Also my cholesterol came down 50 points!

So when do you drink it?  You drink it once a day.  You can choose to drink it as a meal replacement or a snack if that fits in better with your lifestyle. Don’t read “meal replacement” and get freaked out that you’ll be hungry.  That was my fear.  Actually, Shakeology keeps me full for about 3-4 hours – that’s a lot longer than I can say for my old breakfast of Cinnamon Life!  I was hungry in an hour and that’s because it had no nutrients and a lot of sugar.  I tend to have Shakeology for my breakfast because it reduces my cravings all day and I feel the most energetic when I have it for breakfast. But others choose to have it for lunch or dinner or a snack. It’s whatever works for you.
